Description
Scarce 1858-S Gold Dollar, MS61
1858-S G$1 MS61 PCGS. 1858-S gold dollars are scarce in all grades, as the limited mintage of 10,000 pieces might suggest. Rich orange-gold patina adheres to partially prooflike fields on this MS61 example, and most of the design elements have benefited from a sharp strike. Wispy handling marks visible under magnification define the grade. Population: 5 in 61, 4 finer (7/07).(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25CK, PCGS# 7550, Greysheet# 8080)
Weight: 1.67 grams
