1858-S G$1 --Damaged, Tooled, Cleaned--ANACS. AU Details, Net VF20. This conditionally scarce S-mint probably never entered commercial channels, but was used as a jewelry item and sustained a fair degree of damage when removed. Much luster remains beneath splashes of rose patina.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25CK, PCGS# 7550, GSID# 8080)
