1859-C AU 58 PCGS. This example exhibits a slight waviness in the planchet, basically sharp definition for the issue, and an unusually bright, lustrous appearance. An exceedingly difficult issue, particularly in high grades. Only 5,235 pieces were originally struck, and none have been certified as mint state by PCGS (7/97).Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25CM, PCGS# 7552, Greysheet# 8081)
