    1859-C G$1 AU53 PCGS. CAC. Variety 1. The only known die pair for the 1859-C gold dollars. This lovely piece has rich lemon-yellow surfaces with considerable remaining luster, given the grade. Both sides have faint hairlines and minor handling marks that are expected for the grade. This is an important low-mintage issue from a production of 5,235 coins. Population: 11 in 53, 53 finer. CAC: 3 in 53, 7 finer (8/16).(Registry values: N2998)
