Lustrous AU Details 1859-C Gold Dollar

1859-C G$1 --Damaged--NCS. AU Details.
This is an interesting coin that should be carefully examined. While there are two small mint-made planchet pits in the left obverse field and some roughness on the obverse rim (as made?) at 2 o'clock on the obverse, the "damage" described by NCS is not readily apparent to us. In fact, a reasonably careful examination leads us to believe that this is an impressive example of this date with the sharpness and detail of at least an MS60. Softly struck, as always, with bright yellow-gold color.
