Rare in Mint State

1859-C G$1 MS61 PCGS. Winter-1. From a diminutive production of 5,235 units, this lovely Charlotte gold piece is one of the top remaining examples, with PCGS reporting a total of just 17 Mint State coins and only eight finer examples (5/25). Featuring lustrous peach-gold surfaces with flashes of olive and lilac, it delivers bright and colorful eye appeal. Light abrasions are consistent with the grade and are not bothersome. This issue is the last of the gold dollars at the Charlotte Mint. Population: 8 in 61, 8 finer (4/25).(Registry values: N4719)
