Pleasing 1859-D Gold Dollar, AU58
1859-D G$1 AU58 NGC. Variety 11-N. The 9 in the date is located below the left foot of the A in DOLLAR. Flashy luster radiates beneath the butter-yellow patina. Although the strike is better than that of the average Dahlonega gold dollar, there are still a few letters that were poorly struck. A number of light abrasions are consistent with the grade. This piece would make a great choice for the type collector. Census: 44 in 58, 34 finer (7/09).From The Thrifty Scot Collection.(Registry values: N2998)
