1859-D G$1 MS61 NGC. Variety 11-N. A butter-gold Dahlonega example whose unabraded surfaces show substantial luminous luster. Well struck aside from moderate inexactness on the central reverse legends. A tiny mintage of 4,952 pieces confirms the rarity, particularly in Mint State.
