    Description

    Rare XF 1860-D Gold Dollar

1860-D G$1 XF40 PCGS. CAC. Variety 12-P, the only known dies. This yellow-gold Dahlonega dollar shows softness of strike on the left border and has a few thin marks on the right obverse field. But luster emerges from device crevices, and the eye appeal is pleasing given the grade and mintmark. Just 1,566 pieces were struck, and survivors are rare regardless of grade.(Registry values: N2998)
