Description

1860-D XF 40 Brushed. A rare issue in all grades, perhaps not quite as difficult as has been asserted in the past, owing to its final year of Federal production and original tiny mintage. As such, the '60-D has always been a highly respected gold rarity with only three dates (the 1855-D, 1856-D, and 1861-D) having a legitimate claim to even greater rarity. The surfaces possess the details of a higher grade, but have been graded to reflect the unfortunate brushing.
