Scarce 1860-S Gold Dollar, MS61
1860-S G$1 MS61 NGC. A scarce S-mint gold dollar. Only 13,000 pieces were produced, and probably no more than 125-140 individual coins are known today. Only a few dozen coins have been certified in mint condition. This is an attractive piece that has bright, semi-prooflike fields. Sharply struck, there are numerous small to medium sized abrasions on the obverse that account for the grade.
