Superb Gem 1862 Gold Dollar
Ideal Civil War Type Issue

1862 G$1 MS67 NGC. The 1862 gold dollar makes an ideal Civil War-era type coin, as examples are not difficult to locate in attractive Mint State condition. The date is definitely rare at the MS67 level, however. This spectacular Superb Gem is sharply detailed, with vibrant mint luster and satiny yellow and greenish-gold surfaces. Census: 8 in 67, 1 finer (9/11).(Registry values: N1)
