Description

1867 G$1 MS62 PCGS. Pleasing orange-gold patina bathes each side of this sharply impressed gold dollar. A mild cameo-like appearance between the lightly frosted motifs and somewhat prooflike fields results when the coin is viewed at various angles. A few wispy handling marks do not distract. This piece clearly shows the word LIBERTY imposed on the reverse between the wreath and date, the result of die clashing. A very sharp coin for the grade. Population: 13 in 62, 23 finer (8/07).
