1867 Gold Dollar, MS64
Semiprooflike Fields

1867 G$1 MS64 ★ NGC. Only 5,200 gold dollars were struck in Philadelphia in 1867, few of which survive in any grade. The present offering is a beautifully preserved Choice example, with semiprooflike fields and sharp, frosty devices. No noticeable abrasions are present, giving this piece substantial eye appeal, as evidenced by the NCG Star designation. The dies are heavily clashed, with LIBERTY fully transferred to the reverse field below the date. Census: 10 in 64 (1 in 64+, 1 in 64 ), 7 finer (10/14).(Registry values: N2998)
