Choice Prooflike Mint State 1868 Gold Dollar
1868 G$1 MS64 PCGS. This Choice Mint State piece is fully prooflike with a sharp strike, and would easily qualify for a Cameo designation except it is not a proof. The die alignment is normal (actually the reverse is slightly rotated), not inverted as on all known proof examples of this date. A few noticeable marks on the reverse keep this yellow-gold beauty from Gem quality.
