    Description

1869 G$1 MS62+ NGC. Post-Civil War gold mintages at Philadelphia remained at low levels for many years. That Mint produced just 191,440 gold coins, and they were mostly double eagles. Gold dollar production amounted to 5,900 coins, and that was the second highest of the six denominations. This lovely Mint State piece has brilliant orange-gold luster with frosty surfaces and strong design definition. Census: 19 in 62+, 30 finer (8/16).

Had we endeavored to sell it without your support, it would have taken us at least 10 lifetimes, i.e. it would have been impossible.
