1869 G$1 MS66+ PCGS. CAC. With a mintage of just 5,900
pieces, the 1869 gold dollar is seldom seen in any Mint State
grade, and is rare in the upper reaches of this range. The present
coin is an incredibly eye-appealing Premium Gem, fully deserving of
the Plus designation, as evidenced by the superior surface
preservation. Glowing, satiny surfaces yield soft yellow and
orange-gold hues, and the devices are boldly rendered. Population:
