1870 G$1 MS61 PCGS. The 1870 is elusive in Uncirculated grades because of its low mintage of 6,300 pieces. The 0 in the date is lightly repunched at the base. The cheek has a light graze, but there are no particularly unpleasant abrasions. This crisply struck specimen exudes powerful luster throughout.
Ex: Bowers and Merena (3/2003), lot 2055, where it realized $805. Earlier authenticated by ANACS with the serial number E-4126-G.(Registry values: N1793)
