Reflective 1870 Gold Dollar, MS64
1870 G$1 MS64 PCGS. Unsurprisingly for a survivor from a mintage of only 6,300 gold dollars, this piece shows surfaces that are decidedly prooflike on each side. The fields are highly reflective, and thick frost coats the devices. A couple of parallel lines on Liberty's cheek are the apparent grade-limiting factor. Population: 19 in 64, 20 finer (7/08).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25D6, PCGS# 7569, GSID# 8032)
