1872 G$1 MS62 Prooflike NGC. The 1872 gold dollar is scarce overall, coming from a mintage of only 3,500 coins. NGC has certified a dozen coins as Prooflike, plus one Deep Prooflike piece in MS63. This MS62 Prooflike coin is sharp and cameo-contrasted with bright yellow-gold color. Scattered light abrasions account for the grade.
