1873 G$1 Closed 3 MS62 NGC. The population data for the 1873 gold dollars varies depending upon the source consulted. However, an undisputed fact is that the Closed 3 variety survivors are significantly scarcer than the Open 3 examples. Attractive color and luster are present on this example displaying pronounced clash marks on the obverse. A few as-made lint marks appear on the reverse.
