Conditionally Rare, Low-Mintage Type
1873 G$1 Closed 3 MS63 PCGS. This type had a meager business
strike mintage of just 1,800 coins, while its Open 3 counterpart
from the same date and mint had a significantly higher production
of 123,300 pieces. This is a lovely Select Mint State example with
pleasing, evenly distributed coloration and typically struck design
motifs, somewhat soft on LIBERTY and 73. A few minor marks define
