    Uncirculated Details 1875 Gold Dollar
    Just 400 Pieces Struck

1875 G$1 -- Improperly Cleaned -- NGC Details. Unc. The 1875 gold dollar has a business strike mintage of 400 pieces. A double eagle with such a minute production would trade for up to six figures, but the lesser number of gold dollar collectors allows a reasonable price for the present rarity. The NGC Census lists 30 examples in all grades, a figure undoubtedly inflated by resubmissions over the past quarter century. Hairlined and a bit glossy with peach-gold toning and a bold strike. Void of relevant abrasions.(Registry values: N2998)

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25DD, PCGS# 7576)

    Weight: 1.67 grams

    Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper
