Description
Low-Mintage 1875 Gold Dollar, MS61
One of Only 400 Circulation Strikes
1875 G$1 MS61 NGC. With just 400 business strikes produced,
the 1875 is the lowest-mintage gold dollar of the post-Civil War
era, and an example in any grade is a prize. This MS61 piece shows
a degree of reflectivity, not at all unusual for the low-mintage,
later-date gold dollars. Sharply struck with a few abrasions in the
yellow-gold fields that account for the grade. Census: 4 in 61, 9
finer (1/10).(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25DD, PCGS# 7576, GSID# 8038)
