1879 G$1 MS65 PCGS. A beautiful lemon-gold example with flashy fields and an absence of abrasions. The BERT in LIBERTY is only faintly present, due to a lapped die. The 1879 has a scant production of 3,000 pieces, and Gems are scarce yet surprisingly affordable. Encased in a green label holder. Population: 55 in 65, 40 finer (4/10).(Registry values: N1793)
