    1879 G$1 MS66 PCGS. Gleaming yellow-gold surfaces display swirling mint luster with a trace of reflectivity in the fields, typical of the low-mintage 1879 gold dollar (3,000 coins struck). Both sides are razor-sharp and essentially free of mentionable marks. Population: 42 in 66 (2 in 66+), 12 finer (7/19).
