Extraordinary 1880 Gold Dollar, MS67
1880 G$1 MS67 NGC. CAC. An extraordinary business strike, this bold impression exhibits fully reflective fields around frosted devices. Both sides have splendid yellow-gold surfaces with faint splashes of rose patina. This issue begins the final decade of gold dollar production, characterized by low mintages and high survival rates. Only 1,600 were struck and more than 700 appear on the NGC and PCGS population reports.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25DJ, PCGS# 7581, GSID# 8043)
