Description
Shimmering MS67 1880 Gold Dollar
1880 G$1 MS67 PCGS. CAC. Only 1,636 gold dollars were produced in 1880 (including 36 proofs), making this a highly desirable, low mintage date in the series. This particular coin displays bright, semi-prooflike fields, as one would expect from such a low mintage. The surfaces shimmer with golden mint luster and each side has a rich overlay of reddish-orange patina that adds even more to the overall appeal of this scarce coin. The surfaces are free from any troubling abrasions.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25DJ, PCGS# 7581, GSID# 8043)
