Amazing MS67 ★ 1882 Gold Dollar
1882 G$1 MS67 ★ NGC. This amazing Superb Gem has intense, thick mint frost, yet it lacks the prooflike surfaces often created by the low mintage of 5,000 coins. Each side is predominantly reddish-gold, with a significant intermingling of lilac. The strike is full. A slight scuff on Liberty's cheek that requires magnification to see, is all that keeps this Superb Gem from an even finer grade. Less than dozen are certified finer at both services combined (11/09). Census: 44 in 67, 13 finer (11/09).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25DL, PCGS# 7583, GSID# 8045)
