Description
Superbly Preserved 1882 Gold Dollar, MS67 NGC
1882 G$1 MS67 NGC. While many semi-prooflike and fully prooflike examples of this issue are known in today's hobby, the present example exhibits a finish that would best be described as frosty. Nevertheless, glowing tendencies in the fields are evident at a few select angles. All areas are smooth with crisp striking definition and an even endowment of golden-rose coloration. A conditionally rare offering from an original business strike mintage of 5,000 pieces. Population: 36 in 67, 7 finer (4/04).(#7583) (Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25DL, PCGS# 7583, Greysheet# 8045)
Weight: 1.67 grams
