Description

1882 Gold Dollar, MS67
Rare Any Finer

1882 G$1 MS67 PCGS. Despite its low 5,000-coin mintage, the 1882 gold dollar is usually available in Mint State. Nonetheless, Superb Gems are scarce. This frosty yellow-gold example is almost untouched on the surfaces, showing only a few truly faint lines in the central reverse fields that prevent an even finer grade. The strike is sharp, and eye appeal is pleasing. Population: 32 in 67 (1 in 67+), 11 finer (8/16).(Registry values: N2998)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25DL, PCGS# 7583, Greysheet# 8045)
