1882 G$1 MS68 PCGS. The Philadelphia Mint coined a small production of 5,000 gold dollars in 1882, and most survivors are congregated in the lower Mint State grades, typically from MS62 through MS66. From a total of 307 grading events, the PCGS population data reports just 33 coins graded less than MS62, and 51 submissions graded better than MS66. This sharply defined Superb Gem features brilliant yellow luster and splashes of coppery-orange toning on both sides, presenting a high degree of aesthetic appeal.
