1886 G$1 MS67 NGC. By 1886 the gold dollar was on its way out, yet the few examples produced each year were treasured by-and-large. This Superb Gem is proof, its yellow-gold surfaces shimmering and unmarred by post-striking abrasion. Copper alloy spots are noted on both sides, more obviously the reverse. Census: 15 in 67, 0 finer (12/14).(Registry values: N2998)
