Impressive 1888 Gold Dollar, MS66

1888 G$1 MS66 NGC. CAC. Regular issue gold dollars were issued through 1889, when the denomination was continued. The 1888 gold dollars are relatively plentiful in lower Mint State grades, surviving from a mintage of 15,501 coins. This Premium Gem is highly lustrous with brilliant and frosty yellow surfaces. The strike is sharp and the surfaces are pristine. The reverse is rotated a few degrees counterclockwise.(Registry values: N2998)
