Popular 1889 Gold Dollar, MS67

1889 G$1 MS67 NGC. The gold dollar saw a resurgence in popularity as a gift-giving delicacy in 1889, but that use failed to stop the denomination from being abolished in 1890. This satiny Superb Gem from the last year of production has rich yellow-orange luster with suggestions of pink and green. NGC has graded 16 numerically finer pieces (6/10).(Registry values: N2998)
