1889 Gold Dollar, MS67
Vibrant High-End Type Coin, CAC
1889 G$1 MS67 PCGS. CAC. This remarkable Type Three coin is
a fitting representative of the final one dollar gold coinage
issued by the U.S. Mint for circulation. Deep orange-gold surfaces
on rich, frosty luster are beautifully displayed on sharply struck
devices that glimmer with flashes of lilac and amber. PCGS reports
only 15 numerically finer examples, and we are aware of only four
finer pieces that have CAC approval (3/26).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25DU, PCGS# 7590, GSID# 8052)
