Description

Charles II Crown 1673, S-3358, AU55 NGC, ex Cheshire collection, Quinto edge. This is the 3rd bust of Charles. It was struck in a much lower relief than others of this series. It is easy to dismiss the look of this issue as wear. Some study will show that this is a characteristic of the die used--acknowledging this will allow one to view this coin in a proper and appreciative light.
From the Dr. Patrick Tan Collection.

Metal: Silver
Diameter: 38.61mm
