Description

Charles II Halfcrown 1663, S-3361. One year type with the first bust of Charles. A very pleasant and original VF, interestingly, there are 3 distinctive patches of die rust on the obverse. This is the first milled halfcrown of Charles II and the die rust may indicate that the coin was some time in the making. Perhaps the mint was mostly focused on the 1662 Crowns.
