Description

Edward VI (1547-1553) Shilling, S2482, N1937, Facing Bust, fine-silver issue, cursive or small "Y" mm, infrequently seen mintmark variety struck at the Southwark mint (south bank of London) in 1551, VF with an even strike and even wear, on a jumbo or full flan, two-tone gray toning, a few ancient scratches but these barely detract from the overall appeal of this historic coin of the boy-king, the only son of Henry VIII and the last Tudor male, at whose demise the Tudor dynasty also ended.
