Description

Edward VII Crown 1902, S3978, one-year type, MS64 NGC, a really Choice UNC coin, not gray and dull as most are but rather the luster is quite strong and very satiny, the surfaces sheathed in bright, rich silvery gold toning, producing a quietly elegant coin of considerable eye appeal for this issue. The strike is also excellent, with strong detail in the king's balding pate and lush beard. Scarce so fine. This collector's brilliant MS65 specimen in our last signature sale fetched a world record price of $4,600. The presently offered coin was his "second" specimen, and 'tis nothing to be ashamed of!
