Description

Edward VII Shilling 1910, S3982, MS65 NGC, Gem UNC and a very pleasing example of this so-called common date, last in the series, struck in the year of the king's death which likely accounts for the meager supply of this date on the world scene, this piece far finer than most with bright cartwheel luster but a normal strike lacking great detail in the portrait, the wonderful iridescent toning making up for any such "deficiency" of strike, a dappled combination of silvery gold colors with bluish hues.
