Elizabeth I (1558-1603) gold "Milled" 1/2 Pound ND (1561-1563) AU Details (Removed From Jewelry) NGC, Tower mint, Star mm, S-2543, N-2019/3 (VR), Schneider-758. 5.49gm. Bust D. Plain Z. (star mm) ELIZABETH • D • G • ANG • FRA • ET • HIB • REGINA, crowned, armored bust of Elizabeth left / (star mm) SCVTVM • FIDEI • PROTEGET • FAM •, crowned Tudor shield, E-R to either side. A very rare early milled gold issue from Elizabeth's reign, and the largest denomination in this series, with the milled Pound never seeing production. Well struck despite the unfortunate stint in jewelry, and a more attainable representative.Metal: Gold
