Description
Elizabeth II gold Proof Sovereign 1957, S4124, 2nd Issue, W&R449, R4 (11-20 pieces known), very rare Proof of Record, PR65 NGC, a beautiful shimmering Gem Proof with delicate cameo contrast (not so designated on the slab insert) as always seen, watery surfaces blessed by delicate pale rose-gold hues, making for outstanding eye appeal. Faint tiny circle of oxidation in left obverse field. Minute reversed C-shaped die strike-through on the horse's fore haunch. These are diagnostic points for this specimen, which is very desirable for both its rarity and its quality.Metal: Copper-Nickel
