Description

George I Crown 1716 AU58 NGC, KM545.1, S-3639, ESC-1540. SECVNDO edge. With plumes and roses in angles. A lovely representative of this challenging Crown issue, preserved at the cusp of Mint State. A bold strike has clearly rendered George's bust and flowing curls, with equal exactitude displayed in the reverse shields and surrounding decorative plumes and roses. Underlying luster sweeps silver-toned fields upon rotation in hand, revealing a symmetrical arrangement of golden accents that draw the eye for prolonged examination.
