Description

George II Crown 1741, S3687, D1348, 30.06g, Young laureate Bust, roses reverse, QVARTO edge, MS63 NGC, a charming and choice UNC coin showing bright silver luster peeking out from around the lettering, fully original untouched surfaces toned a handsome medium golden brownish gray, the portrait and chevron nicely detailed, as is the reverse shield, rims sharp and consisting of broad, well-struck denticles, no real marks to report, a few light adjustments through the lower shield on reverse. It all sums up to pleasing eye appeal on an especially well-preserved, large crown. The younger numismatist might call this a "sweet piece" and well it is!
