George II gold "East India Company" 5 Guineas 1729 AU Details (Cleaned) NGC, KM571.2, S-3664. Perhaps the most iconic emission of the 5 Guineas series, and certainly among the most desirable types from George II's reign, the 1729 5 Guineas struck from East India Company specie is a piece which always inspires spirited competition. While admitting a light cleaning over the surfaces, traces of radiant flow lines and watery texture are preserved closer to the rims, imbuing this more attainable example with a still-appreciable eye appeal.
