Description

George III 1/2 Crown 1817 MS66 NGC, KM667, S-3788, ESC-2090. Large bust or bull head variety. Impressive to say the least and currently tied for the finest of the date between both major grading services. Certified an unfathomable MS66 and appropriately so, with hardly a mark of consequence discernible even under magnification. Exhibiting a firm strike that yields a nearly full expression of the devices throughout, the piece remains superior, demonstrating a most pleasing peach skin and cascading silvery luster that sweeps the fields upon rotation.
