Description

Handsome Nearly Mint State Military Guinea

George III gold "Military" Guinea 1813 AU58 PCGS, KM664, S-3730, Farey-1390. Sixth laureate head. A one-year type and last date of the Guinea, produced to pay troops fighting in the Napoleonic Wars. Robustly challenging the boundary of Mint State and hosting an abundance of residual mint bloom charging in the protected areas of the peripheries. Heavily contested whenever encountered in straight grades, and we anticipate a foray of eager bids as this crosses the auction block.
