George III Proof "Cartwheel" 2 Pence 1797-SOHO PR64 Brown PCGS, KM619, S-3776, P-1069. A superb cherry-brown proof of this popular Soho issue. The portrait of George III is especially finely performed and preserved, appearing near cameo worthy, the field behind flashy and reflective. This gleam halts at the Cartwheel rim but persists within the incuse legend, providing an engaging contrast. Some dark spots are present on the reverse, but prove inconsequential to the overall effect and eye-appeal of this sleek beauty.Metal: Copper
