George III silver Proof Pattern 6 Pence 1787 PR64 PCGS, KM-Unl., S-3749 var. (unlisted in Proof), ESC-2212 (prev. ESC-1640). By L. Pingo. Plain edge, variety with hearts in the Hanoverian shield. Among the finest known examples of this George III Pattern type, bathed in cobalt with an underlying iridescence. The engraving is spectacularly rendered and crisp in all the nooks and crannies.
